12 Point Star Afghan

Here is the afghan mentioned in my post from July 2008. There are also photos in Ravelry.

It took me a long time to complete this blanket because even though it turned out wonderful, the yarn was a pain to use. It unraveled very easily. So I put it down for awhile. After finishing it and weaving in ends, I washed it and it was even softer.

I used Red Heart's "Plush" in cream, country blue and sage.

It was made for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law for Christmas. Hope they like it!

I have made this afghan, and it is a joy to make it, but sadly, I have lost my pattern!!! Could you sned me a printed pattern, to my email addy below, without my name on it, so I can have it again. I am almost 60 years old, and have been crocheting since I was 9 but back then, girls didn't crochet, just older women. So, when I reached 32, I became a Born again Christian, and stopped smoking, drinking alcohol, and carrousing, and needed something to do. Well a friend gave me two big bags of yarn, and I made each one of my two children a granny square afghan. I didn't know how to do anything else, at the time. But, I learned how to read patterns-and took off like a bolt of lightening. Even made myself and daughter a coat, too, which I am planning on doing again, with an "H" afghan hook-when it comes thru mail to me.

I am disabled, so crocheting and also some other crafts help me get thru the day and the pain.

Thanks-Elaine from Lindsay, CA
