Dishcloths for a Friend

I made these for my best friend, Bridget. Her kitchen is yellow (of course) with cows. I used two different kinds of yarn. Aunt Lydia's baby denim cotton and a varigated Sugar 'N Cream. I used them together on the third dishcloth. I think that is why it is not exactly square. But, once in use, I'm sure it won't matter!

Been awhile...

Update to this post (04.15.08) I found the pictures I took of the dishcloths that I made:

I made 3 of each.

I have not posted in awhile...we've had some major financial issues at home. Anyway, I managed to complete the hat (I swear I'll post a picture) and my husband complained that we didn't have any dischcloths, so I made two (also pictures coming).

Joni's Baby Blanket

I had not been working on Joni's blanket like I should. I actually found another project to start on (like I need one). I saw these really cool beaded coasters at Wal-Mart and decided, "I can make those! Why would I want to buy them?" So, I found the beads that I wanted, the wire I needed and wrote out instructions for myself. I started to string the beads, then stopped. Why? I don't know! But in the mean time, I finished another hat for myself (picture coming soon) and then picked up Joni's blanket again.
Mostly because I talked to her yesterday and she mentioned her due date, March 21. Now I have a deadline. And the pattern is not that difficult, and it will not be a huge blanket. I should be finished before that date. Should be.

Next on the list...

I am working on Joni's blanket and my curtains. Similar patterns, different yarns. I decided not to do the pattern I found (see post fro 7.13.06). I found a fan pattern that I like...
<---- these will be curtains for the livingroom. This is the start of the first panel. I think total there will be four if I make them all the same size. Three if I make the other two larger than 41" wide.
Joni's expected to have a boy. Since I had already started, I decided to keep going. Yes, there is pink, orange and purple; but also green blue and yellow. Although you can't see the detail as well on this second picture, both are very similar. Fan and shell.
Oh, I am also working on a ribbed hat in country blues and brown varigated and the rug...oh yes the rug is still on the list.
I think I may be adding a toilet tissue cover to the list soon. Something to decorate our downstairs bathroom a little bit.

Jaime's Blanket

It is done! Finally finished. It has acutally been finished for a couple weeks, but I haven't been able to get online or download the photos for that matter.
Now to give it to her. It's been sitting on the back seat in my car for a week and a half.

Here's a couple pictures.

Almost Finished....

I have about 15 rows left to go on Jaime's blanket. Then to add the border. She originally had a due date of September 21, but she went early. Again!!

Then to start on the next blanket for Joni.

At the Fair #4

These last four posts have nothing to do with crochet other than I did see a lady crocheting with Red Heart Baby Clouds at one of the booths, but these two pictures in this post are two of my favorite things at the fair. And I think all the pictures I posted came out pretty good!!
